OUR PASSION AND INSPIRATION

This is the story of an interior designer who had an artistic upbringing and a love for art. Reina Masri established a small-scale artisan workshop where she launched her first collection of hand-painted tables in Dubai.The tables are unique accents that brought life to each space they occupied . But that wasn’t enough. Wanting to experiment with different materials, an elaborate collection has been thought from design to execution. A line of light-weight concrete tables with touch a of art that uses a pre-mixed foam  stirred into the slurry to create tiny air voids in the final concrete.Introducing a mix of colors, finishes that can be used indoors / Indoors and outdoors with a painting that relates to you and adds a flair of bespoke design to your space making each piece a statement.

ABOUT RENAM

Since 1997, RenaM has been carving out a name in Lebanon and the UAE as a curator of bespoke hand-painted furniture accents for the residential and hospitality sector. The brand is known for the ability to reimagine and enhance environments through design ideas that are simple, yet sophisticated. The passion for painting and furniture design meant a seamless fusion of two artistic skills to create a new ‘out of the box’ brand that always thinks differently. Today, RenaM lends form and function to a growing portfolio of private villas, apartments, offices, pubs, restaurants and cafés across the Middle East.

Materials

Like any relationship, the Rena M collection is shaped and nurtured with love, care and attention. But it also takes quality materials in their purest form to ensure their natural beauty shines through. Ultimately, these aren’t merely aesthetic, but authentic pieces that effortlessly cross over from industry into true art. Recycled concrete, Styro-Geofoam, Jesmonite and mirrored acrylic are some of the materials used in the early stages. A water-proofing sealant coat is then applied as a final touch, making it built-to-last. To give it an aesthetic feel, each piece is then hand-painted and gold leafed, giving it depth and character.

Design Process

Good design isn’t just about form and function. It also needs to tell a story. To us, it always starts with a conversation, pencil and sketchbook. This helps our design team get an immediate visual sense of proportion and scale before plotting a clear direction and goal. Supporting words with a sketch makes the creativity flow.  Our idea of design is that it must remain as relevant and timeless tomorrow as it is today. That’s why we follow a holistic approach, intimately connecting timeless craftsmanship techniques with the finest quality materials. Every piece is designed with love, crafted with precision and finished to the last detail.

Care Instructions

It is important to understand that concrete is a porous material and need to be treated as such. 
To make it aesthetically pleasing , each piece is hand -painted and gold leafed. It is a collection about Love. As it is used day by day, it will take a perfectly an imperfect look. It is this aging and character that offers such a unique piece of concrete. Concrete is a natural product and will behave like one.

Indoor Collection

A thorough dusting keeps your hand-painted concrete furniture clean. No chemicals to be used.  Instead use a feather duster or a microfiber cloth to remove dust.

Outdoor Collection

Outdoor covers are a great way to protect your furniture. These covers are generally waterproof and UV-resistant. You can also cover your furniture with a plastic tarp or an old sheet. Any of these will at least keep dust and moisture of your computer.

Care Instructions

Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete or GRC is an environmentally friendly composite, with its low consumption of energy and natural raw materials. Glassfibre Reinforced Plastic or GRP is a composite material which is made up of glass fibres impregnated with polymers like resin, which makes it a strong and durable material. This planter is molded with the use of GRC & GRP combined for esthetics and durability. As RenaM is a light-weight furniture brand ,the main advantage of using GRC for pots over the corresponding concrete alternatives is the considerable saving in weight. Care and thoughtfulness goes into craftsmanship and sustainability.

For GRC products, you can clean it using a damp cloth and gentle/mild soap-based cleaning products. Don’t use any abrasive cleaning products.
